Are you looking for a personal counselor specializing in substance use with mental illness? At DHH we are accepting new clients throughout the state of Rhode Island. We accept many forms of payments including Medicaid.

Multiple Treatment Options

    Individual Counseling Session

    These are individual 30-40-minute sessions which can be virtual or in person. This service offers limited access to case management and peer support services. If you need full access to these services, check out the specialized level of care. All forms of payment are accepted with most insurances carriers accepted as well.

    Specialized Substance Abuse Psychotherapy

    This type of therapy service provides substance use counseling, enhanced case management, and peer support virtual, in the community, or in-home. These sessions are between 45-60 minutes. This service utilizes evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Seven Challenges, and many other to personalize your experience. This service is not covered by insurance carriers.

  • Group Counseling Session

    is a therapy where a small group of people meet regularly with one or more licensed therapists to work through shared problems and develop coping skills. Members gain insight not only from the therapist but also from each other's experiences, creating a supportive environment to learn more about themselves and improve their interpersonal skills. 

  • Emotional Support Animal

    HICCUP here is a pet that provides companionship and therapeutic benefits to a person with a mental health condition, such as anxiety, depression, or PTSD. An ESA must be well-behaved and able to live peacefully in a residential setting without causing a nuisance and can be any type of animal, including common pets like dogs and cats, as well as less common animals.
